What to say...

I find myself with tears in my eyes, desperate to convey my feelings but have not the words to express them. I am not even sure I can identify them. Perhaps I am overwhelmed by the ability of these children to trust, embrace and care about us with such abandon after being hurt, left and lost by the people closest to them. It is terribly humbling to be given so much love without any expectations of reciprocity; we only need receive it. They have learned their most important lesson at such tender ages, that the greatest gift is to love and be loved. I pray that I can follow their example and love as they love, as Christ loves.

Hey Dave,

Thanks for sharing a big piece of your heart and tears with us. I'm so thankful that you and your team are able to touch, hug, play with, and speak life-giving words to these children. Isn't it amazing how one single trip to one country for a short time can impact you and the ones you've come to love for eternity? We can't wait to hear more of the stories now and when you all return.
